It came to my attention when I was roughly 15 – in 10th grade – where everyone thought suicide was just a cry for attention. That you couldn’t want to end your life, or your suffering without being an attention seeker.
That’s where my hatred for my peers spawned and a lot of other things appeared. Especially when I started looking at ‘news’ spread over social media.
This post on Facebook, is exactly the polar opposite of what I grew up around, yet it explains so much in so little words.
Social media, especially Facebook, was and still is flooded with horrible opinions from the ‘cool’ kids. Which would make anyone who wasn’t with them feel worse.
From there I have realised how badly represented the news all around us is, and hence Why News Sucks.
The representation of news is my inspiration for this page.
It’s why this space isn’t “Does News Suck?” or “What’s With News?” it’s “Why News Sucks.” Because it does. And that’s that.
Distorted by social media and tabloidization the news is no longer newsworthy. And this kind of news is horrible to read.
As a population, we care so much that Kim K was robbed of so much, when she has so much more, but we care less when someone with nothing is robbed of what little they had.
US Weekly reported updates as they received them on their website:
And video can be found on YouTube here: http://bit.ly/2eegrIR
This video was dubbed by USA Today as the: “Chilling Kim Kardashian Robbery Video.”
Most of the time these crimes do not even make the news so what so important about a Kardashian?
Why News Sucks will consist of opinions and data sourced primarily for the purpose of this space.
This space is here because, in our busy lifestyles, we lack the time and motivation to criticise anything we read in this day and age.
Love Always, Nicole.
